Join OLLI for a special sneak peek presentation celebrating the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs)—one of the world’s leading festivals dedicated to documentary and animated filmmaking.
Founded in 2011 by Teddy Grouya, AmDocs was created to showcase and support independent filmmakers from around the world who bring awareness and understanding to important real-life stories and issues. Held annually in Palm Springs, the festival has grown into an internationally recognized destination for audiences who value powerful, independent storytelling.
From its inaugural festival in 2012—honoring Academy Award–winning filmmaker Oliver Stone—to today’s expansive international program, AmDocs has featured acclaimed guests and honorees including Dionne Warwick, George Takei, Ed Asner, Pierce Brosnan, Peter Coyote, Julie Cohen, and many others. Animated films became part of the festival beginning in 2013, further expanding its creative reach.
